【前言】
2014年开始,教育部组织研制了《大学英语教学指南》(下称《教学指南》)。《教学指南》根据我国现阶段基础教育、高等教育和社会发展的现状,将大学英语教学目标分为基础、提高、发展三个等级,将大学英语教学内容分为‘通用英语”、‘专门用途英”和‘跨文化交际”三大类。这一‘三三制”的课程结构和教学目标,凸显了分层次和分类指导的教学原则,指明了我国大学英语教学今后的发展方向。为了适应全国不同高校的办学特点,满足不同层次学生的学习需求,上海外语教育出版社在广泛调研的基础上,组织大学英语教学专家和一线教师编写了这套《新起点大学英语视听说教程》,以满足高校艺体类专业大学英语教学的需求和艺体专业学生个性化发展的需要。
编写原则
一、参照《教学指南》‘分类指导、因材施教”的原则,充分考虑艺体学生的基础、专业特点和学习特征,适当调整语言难度起点,提高学生的学习兴趣。
二、旨在实现《教学指南》提出的‘基础级”教学目标。
三、以交际功能为主线,培养学生在不同语境中的交际能力和语言能力。
教材特点
一、合理规划起点难度。视听材料的选文篇幅简短,1-2册篇章长度为250字以内,3-4册为400字以内,与艺体学生的实际入学水平衔接。
二、每单元的练习和活动设计围绕特定交际功能展开。交际功能部分进行本单元功能话题的要点练习,并提供相应的句型和表达法;听力和视频部分也涉及单元功能话题:交际活动部分通过分角色口语练习,再次巩固功能话题的表达与交际意图。同一交际功能主题多次复现,多点仿练,使学生能触类旁通,自然表达。
三、单元主题与《新起点大学英语综合教程》同步配套,采用通用和专业相结合的原则,选材既兼顾各专业学生的兴趣,又着眼于艺体类专业学生的共同特性。以立体化、多视角的选文内容使学生对主题有多面了解,扩大认知视野。
四、练习形式丰富多样,难度适中,注重听力技的培养。以微听力策略为主的任务设计,使学生能循序渐进地逐步积累信心并提高听力能力。在练习编排上,第一、二册注重基础信息的理解和交际场景的把握,第三、四册注重信息的综合分析和理解。
五、特设口语交际中‘文化小贴士”。教材在每个单元结尾处简短介绍英语交流过程中文化差异和文化偏好,提高学生的跨文化交际意识六、教材配有丰富的数字资源,提供高质量的音和视频材料,电子教案全程辅助教师教学。
